Acapulco right-hander Caleb Major helped his team edge Merida by the score of 2-1. Major kept the opposing lineup in check. Acapulco is 10th in the Sur with a record of 41-57.

Acapulco got a knockout punch from Premislao Olguín. The pinch hitter hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"Sometimes you get the ball in the right spot and it goes," said Olguín.
