Chiapas and Acapulco took Mother Nature's best shot and still managed to complete their ballgame.
Gabriel Camarillo, who finished 4th in the LS in ERA with 2.14 in 1905, propelled his team to victory over the Acapulco Aztecas. The final score was 6-2, Chiapas. Camarillo, now 15-13, was the winner. In 9 innings, he gave up 9 hits, while striking out 2, walking 1, and allowing 2 runs.
Luis López aided the Chiapas cause with a run-scoring ground out in the top of the fifth. For the game, the catcher went 1-4.
"Gabriel was good -- real good," said Quetzales manager Catulo Flores.
Chiapas is now 50-70.
