Jardines de Pachuca was rocking after an exciting Cornicos win.

The Hidalgo Cornicos defeated the Acapulco Aztecas, 7-6, in part because of center fielder René Vanegas. Vanegas went 2-4 with 2 triples. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Cornicos. Hidalgo reliever Hernando Rodríguez picked up the win to move to 5-3. Santiago Márquez suffered the loss.

Ángel Ramos was the walk-off hero for Hidalgo. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Cornicos shortstop hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"Just trying to keep things simple and helping the team win any way I can," Vanegas told a local reporter after the game.

The defeat makes Acapulco 39-65.
