Though the conditions were not ideal, the Nayarit Mariachis and Jalisco Jinetes came back from a rain delay to finish their game.

The Nayarit Mariachis beat the Jalisco Jinetes, 10-8, at Campo de Guadalajara. Dermot Brough, who finished 5th in the LN in stolen bases with 57 in 1911, starred for Nayarit. He was 3-5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Julián Rentería closed the door for Nayarit, picking up his 6th save of the year.

Miguel Bautista provided a timely hit. The Nayarit pinch hitter delivered a run-scoring triple in the top of the ninth inning to put the Mariachis on top, 9-8. It was his only hit in the game, but he made it count.

"When you win, you always have confidence," said Nayarit skipper Isabelino Vidales. "Nobody likes to lose. Losing is a downer. That's how we look at it. It's always good to win."

The victory gives Nayarit a record of 57-52.
