Jardines de Pachuca did not lack for drama.

Ranulfo Carrasco did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to spare the Veracruz Vigias an extra-inning, 8-7 loss to the Hidalgo Cornicos at Jardines de Pachuca. Carrasco went 3-4 with 2 doubles and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI. With the win, Hidalgo has a record of 50-59. Veracruz falls to 57-52.

The Cornicos got a clutch hit from pinch hitter Cosme Ramírez. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring single to left-center, to win the game for the Cornicos.

"We took home the win," said Ramírez. "What's not to like?"
