Fans witnessed a whale of a game between the Guanajuato Libertadores and Ciudad Juarez Nortenos.

The Guanajuato Libertadores picked up a win at Parque de la Libertad, taking down the Ciudad Juarez Nortenos, 5-4, in 10 innings. On the mound for Guanajuato was right-hander Leovigildo Méndez. He played a central role in the triumph. Guanajuato reliever Pedro Herrera picked up the win, upping his record to 7-2. Víctor Robles absorbed the loss.

The Libertadores got a clutch hit from pinch hitter Pascual Ramos. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring single to center, to win the game for the Libertadores.

"I like that statistic at the end of the game where there's another run for our team than the other team has," said winning manager Álvaro Trejo.

Guanajuato is now 57-54, while Ciudad Juarez is 41-70.
