Fans watched the Ciudad Juarez Nortenos and the Guanajuato Libertadores fight to the finish.

Ciudad Juarez pitcher Ernesto Silva did his part in helping his team defeat the Guanajuato Libertadores, 2-1. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. The 11th-place Nortenos now have a record of 42-70.

Tomás Rincón had a direct impact on the outcome. Rincón contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the eighth inning to put Ciudad Juarez up, 2-1.

"Ball felt good coming out of my hand the whole night," said Silva.
