Durango and Mexicali took Mother Nature's best shot and still managed to complete their ballgame.

Despite a great performance by Mexicali second baseman Miguel Tinajero, the Durango Alacranes defeated the Algodoneros by the score of 10-9 at Estadio de Durango. Tinajero went 2-4 with a triple. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. Luis Rodríguez earned the win for Durango. He lasted 6 innings, allowing 5 runs on 7 hits, while striking out 3. With the win, he raised his record to 6-3. Rigoberto Mayorga was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 1 of 1 save opportunities.

The Alacranes got a lift from right fielder Eduardo Aguirre, who in the bottom of the sixth stroked a 1-1 screwball to left for a 2-run single. It was his 90th hit of the season and put the Alacranes ahead, 10-5.
