The Durango Alacranes dumped the Coahuila Carboneros, 4-3, in large part due to right fielder Ramón Mercado. On the day, Mercado went 2-2 with 2 singles and 2 walks for the Alacranes. Eduardo Fuentes, 5-8, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.1 innings. Durango's record now stands at 54-66, placing them 11th in the Norte.

The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Durango trailing 3-2, Saturnín Moreno hit a cutter from Ben Downie to left for a 2-run single. Just like that, the Alacranes had a walk-off win.

"This stadium was a-rockin'," said Moreno.
