The Chetumal Mayas got a rain-soaked win over the Acapulco Aztecas.
The Chetumal Mayas racked up a win at Parque de Acapulco, bumping off the Acapulco Aztecas, 5-2. Édgar Borrego, who started for Chetumal, pitched effectively for his team. Hagen Callahan got the save, the 12th for him this season.
It could have been a different outcome for Chetumal, had it not been for Roberto Rodríguez, the 29-year old catcher . Rodríguez contributed a 2-run single in the top of the first inning to put Chetumal up, 3-0.
"They played a better game than we did," said Acapulco skipper Al Dwight.
With the win, Chetumal goes to 55-68, while the Aztecas fall to 54-69.
