Both teams had their chances, but the Nayarit Mariachis eventually prevailed.

The Nayarit Mariachis picked up a win at Parque de los Mariachis, dropping the Nuevo Laredo Colibris, 5-4. Emanuel Ruiz, who is tied for 8th in the LN with a 2.21 ERA, was the difference-maker. Crisanto Mendoza was the winner in relief. His record is now 4-0. The losing pitcher was Acacio Michel.

Ramón Sena was the walk-off hero for Nayarit. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Mariachis center fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"I'm happy we won," said Ruiz. "That's first and foremost. My goal is for the team to win the day I pitch, however it's done."

Nayarit raised its record to 67-59 with the win.
