Parque de la Libertad was the site for Norte action featuring the Guanajuato Libertadores and Nayarit Mariachis.

The 3-hit performance of Euríalo Duarte helped the Nayarit Mariachis beat the Guanajuato Libertadores, 7-2. The Mariachis improved their record to 63-66 with the win over Guanajuato.

There was more than one reason the Mariachis beat the Libertadores, but Duarte's big at-bat in the top of the second was an important factor. He staked his team to a 2-0 lead when he hit a 2-run single.

Duarte attributed the triumph to "a good team effort."
