Monterrey starter Crisóstomo López pitched well against the Sonora Chacales at Estadio de Sonora. The right-hander led his team to a win, 8-4, in 10 innings. With the victory, the Cerveceros record stands at 75-55.

Monterrey took advantage of an error in the top of the tenth inning. The game was tied, 4-4, when Pascual Amador hit a 2-run single that was misplayed. It put the Cerveceros in front, 6-4.

"Crisóstomo gets tougher when he has to, makes a big pitch when he has to," said Monterrey skipper Ricardo López.
