Cowhands Snatch Late-Game, 2-1 Win
The Odessa Cowhands took El Paso pitcher Rio Jenkins's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Odessa Fields. The final score had Odessa getting past the Finos, 2-1. Jenkins went 7.1 innings and allowed 1 run, striking out 6. Jamie Dick snagged the win in relief. He goes to 2-1 on the season. Rombek Malual suffered the loss. The win makes Odessa 14-16.

James Shaw was the walk-off hero for Odessa. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Cowhands pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"That's baseball," said El Paso manager Simeón Barrera. "Sometimes the other team plays better than yours."
