Rams Walk It Off for 20th Win of Season
The Derby Rams finished off the Birmingham Tradesmen, 6-3, in 11 innings. A good share of the credit went to pinch hitter Downey Murphy. Murphy went 1 for 1 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Rams. The winner in relief was Illán Rosales. He is now 4-0. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. Derby's record now stands at 20-13, placing them first in the Baseball Federation of England & Wales English Baseball Championship.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 11th. With one out, Murphy hit a fastball from Romualdo Rivera for a 3-run home run. The Rams, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"This ballgame left me feeling kind of raw," said Birmingham manager Nuño Rodríguez.
