The Waco Mammoths topped the New Braunfels Yodelers, 7-5, the lion's share of the credit going to left fielder Timoteo Hernández. On the day, Hernández went 2-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 for the Mammoths. Waco goes to 22-24, New Braunfels to 19-27.

Hernández had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a full count sinker from Rodolfo Valdés, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Mammoths a 7-5 lead. It was the 5th home run of the year for Hernández.

"Timoteo is still learning," said Mammoths manager Guarionex Guzmán. "The sky's the limit for him."
