Lavender Stockings Win, 3-1, at New Braunfels

Andrew Macgregor, who is tied for 6th in the EFBA in wins with 7, was locked in. The right-hander led the Luling Lavender Stockings to a 3-1 win against the New Braunfels Yodelers at Yodelers Grounds. The winner was Macgregor. He threw 8.1 innings allowing 1 run. The loser was Brandon Taylor. Herminio Sepúlveda picked up the save for Luling, his 3rd of the year.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Rainer Steen? The Luling second baseman had a run-scoring double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Lavender Stockings on top, 2-1. For the game, Steen had 2 doubles and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"Andrew was really on it," said Luling manager Noah Malone. "He's got a feel for playing with the hitter front-to-back, side-to-side."
Luling is third in the Eastern Association San Marcos Circuit with a record of 22-27.
