The Newport Stevedores topped the Bangor Bishops, 3-1, in Baseball Federation of England & Wales action at Stevedores Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Newport pitcher and Brussels, Belgium, native Jay Boel. Picking up the save was Alejandro Medina, his 4th. With the win, the Stevedores are 16-33.

Jorge Cortez hit a 2-run triple off Mateo Brito in the bottom of the third, which put the Stevedores in front, 2-0. Cortez had 1 single and 1 walk, in addition to the three-bagger. For the game, he went 2 for 3.
