The Glasgow Shipwrights pinned a convincing loss on the Edinburgh Claymores, 13-2, at Shipwrights Stadium. Gobrías López was a main factor in the win. He went 2-2 with 2 doubles, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 for Glasgow. Shane Herrington, the winning pitcher, improved to 6-4. He pitched 8.2 innings, giving up 9 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 3 and walking 3. The first-place Shipwrights hiked their record to 32-16.

In the bottom of the third, 25-year old second baseman Uranio Hernández hit a 3-run home run. The 5th home run of the season for the Glasgow first baseman put the Shipwrights on top, 3-0.

Edinburgh manager Ben Jones summed up his team's performance in one word: "Putrid."
