Cork left-hander Antonio Triana pitched his team to victory over the Limerick Gandelows at Salmon Stadium. The final score was 5-4. Cork is 20-20 and Limerick, with the loss, 22-18.

The Salmon got a clutch hit from catcher Rhys Keir. In the bottom of the 12th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Salmon.

"This was one of those 'not to be denied' games," said Cork field general Tricky Nichols.
