Caber Tossers Get Hard-Earned Win
The Perth Caber Tossers did just enough to sneak past the Glasgow Shipwrights, 5-4, at Perth Fields. Perth pinch hitter Emanuel Burgos, in particular, had a standout performance. Perth reliever Abenámar Martínez picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Ernesto Pedraza took the loss. The Caber Tossers now have a record of 36-20 with the win over Glasgow.

The game was decided with two out in the bottom of the ninth. With Perth trailing 4-2, Burgos jumped on a changeup from 26-year old right-handed pitcher Ernesto Pedraza and hit a 3-run home run to left. With one swing, the Caber Tossers had a walk-off win.

In postgame comments, Burgos told the Perth Daily: "Do people still doubt I give 100 percent?"
