Taos got a terrific performance from pitcher Boanerges Alvarado, but it wasn't enough to beat the Los Lunas Werewolves. Los Lunas won the Werewolves Park contest, 3-2. Alvarado threw 8.2 innings of 2-hit ball for the losing team. Los Lunas improves to 33-27 with the win. They lead their division by 2 games.
The Werewolves procured the win, in large part because of catcher Eugenio Pedroza. In the bottom of the 11th, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.
"This game showed the grit and grind of our guys," said Pedroza.
