Yardmen Defeat Horizons, 3-2
The Wichita Falls Yardmen defeated the Amarillo Horizons, 3-2, in Western Association action at Yardmen Park. Wichita Falls pitcher Pascual Mercado had a standout performance. The Yardmen improved their record to 32-39 by beating Amarillo.

Wichita Falls took control in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and a runner on 2nd, Esteban Rueda hit a run-scoring single to make it 3-2, Yardmen.

"Pascual is good at sticking to his strengths," said Wichita Falls manager Lázaro Grado.
