Thrilling Walk-Off Win for Harbourmasters
Galway and Derry scratched and clawed until someone claimed the prize.

The Galway Harbourmasters picked up a win at Harbourmasters Field, knocking off the Derry Maidens, 2-1. On the mound for Galway was left-hander Vladik Ofitserov. He played a key role in the triumph. Their 39-22 record puts the Harbourmasters first in the Baseball Federation of Scotland & Ireland Sraith Daorchluiche na hEireann.

Up to bat in the bottom of the 14th, 25-year old left-handed pitcher Julio Morales had a chance to be the hero. Derry pitcher Andrés Román wanted to foil that plan. But with one out, Morales hit a sacrifice fly. The Harbourmasters had themselves a thrilling win.

"Vladik was outstanding," said Galway manager Natalino Torres.
