The home team gave the crowd some walk-off drama.

In a tight tilt between the Edinburgh Claymores and the Perth Caber Tossers, Báquides Sánchez was the deciding factor. The Edinburgh left-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. The win went to Vicente Hernández in relief. His record improves to 1-2. Darío Benítez took the loss.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the ninth for Edinburgh. That's when Cristóbal Ruiz hit a solo home run off 28-year old right-handed pitcher Darío Benítez to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said Perth manager Plutarco Valido. "But we decided not to take it."

The third-place Caber Tossers dropped to 35-29.
