The Limerick Gandelows took on the Dublin Vikings at Gandelows Park.

Limerick pitcher José López had a large part in his team subduing the Dublin Vikings, 9-2. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the left-hander. Limerick is now 37-29, while Dublin is 22-44.

In the bottom of the sixth, Limerick first baseman Dennehy Miller gave his team the lead. With two out and the bases loaded, Chesty Chet hit his 8th double of the year. Dublin pitcher Graham Humphrey surrendered it. With that, the Gandelows jumped in front, 3-1.

"We'll need a much better effort, the next time out," said losing manager Leo Amos.
