Getting a good performance from left fielder Anthony Ross, the Wichita Falls Yardmen defeated the Amarillo Horizons, 6-5. Ross went 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Yardmen. The defeat makes Amarillo 41-40.

In the top of the first, Ross had a run-scoring double for Wichita Falls. It was his 15th double of the season and put the Yardmen on top, 1-0.

"We think we're a good team overall, so we're not too surprised to win today," said Ross.
