Inverness wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Heráclito Martínez, falling to the Perth Caber Tossers, 3-2. Martínez threw 7.2 innings of shutout ball for the losing team. Jorge Flores, who leads the BFS&I in saves with 10, nailed down the save. The win makes Perth 56-28.

Perth relied on the hitting of Luis Galván to pick up the win. The center fielder ripped a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Caber Tossers on top, 3-2. For the game, Galván had 1 triple and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.

"Against this team here, fangs out late in the game, it's nice to beat them," said Perth skipper Plutarco Valido.
