Amarillo registered a win at Lubbock Grounds by beating the Lubbock Layabouts, 3-2. Pitcher Reehan Davis was one reason why the Horizons triumphed. Davis, now 12-5, was the winner. In 9 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 2, walking 1, and allowing 2 runs. Amarillo bumps their record to 42-42 with the win.

Amarillo used the timely hitting of Yohei Rodríguez to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Horizons on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

Davis told a Amarillo Observer reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
