Morgan Mathews propelled his team to victory over the Waco Mammoths. The final score was 5-1, San Marcos. San Marcos goes to 51-34, Waco to 44-41.

With two out in the bottom of the seventh, Séptimo Quintana had a game-changing hit. The Cadavers center fielder slammed a run-scoring single off Asdrúbal Perla, making the score 3-1, San Marcos.

"I don't feel you win baseball games by working harder than the other team or 'wanting it more,'" Quintana told the San Marcos Observer. "You win just by scoring more runs."
