The Cardiff Arcadians picked up a win at Ballpark of Cardiff, knocking off the Newport Stevedores, 4-3. Starting pitcher Matías Rivera played a key role in the triumph. The last-place Stevedores dropped to 34-51.

In the bottom of the ninth, Menandro Morales had a chance to deal the knockout blow. And he did, punching a run-scoring walk to center off Newport pitcher Alia Shrestha.

"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Morales told the Cardiff Chronicle.
