The Derry Maidens clipped the Dublin Vikings, 7-5, in 10 innings at Maidens Grounds. The standout performance belonged to Derry pitcher and Guayama, Puerto Rico, native Jorge Pérez. Derry is now 38-34, Dublin 25-49.

The decisive blow was delivered by Brannan Moran in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a 2-run home run off 25-year old left-handed pitcher Jerry McBean to win the game for Derry. The home crowd went nuts.

In postgame comments, Moran said he was glad to contribute to an exciting win.
