Glasgow right-hander Weiner Mann pitched his team to victory over the Perth Caber Tossers at Shipwrights Stadium. The final score was 3-2. The win makes Glasgow 70-33.

Batting in the bottom of the tenth, 23-year old left fielder Claudio Negrón had a real shot to win the game. Perth pitcher Jorge Flores was determined not to let it happen. But with two outs, Negrón hit a run-scoring single. The Shipwrights had a walk-off triumph.

Negrón said afterward that he was "glad the fans were treated to a good ballgame."
