Limerick and Belfast took Mother Nature's best shot and still managed to complete their ballgame.

The Limerick Gandelows picked up a win at Bards Field, knocking off the Belfast Bards, 9-3. On the mound for Limerick was left-hander Ramiro Rendón. He played a key role in the triumph. The Gandelows raised their record to 53-40.

Limerick used a clutch at-bat from Raúl Delgado to capture the win. The catcher hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Gandelows ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"When you don't put the pitches where they're supposed to be, they hit you hard," said Belfast skipper Dáithí King.
