Dukes Field was the site of quite a ballgame.

Anastasio Raya could take little solace in pitching a good game. The fact is his Taos Artists lost, dropping a 3-2 decision to the Albuquerque Dukes at Dukes Field. The Dukes improved to 53-55.

Up to bat in the bottom of the ninth, 23-year old third baseman Sergio Vega had a chance to be the hero. Taos pitcher Anastasio Raya wanted to foil that plan. But with two outs, Vega reached on an error by the right fielder, driving in 2 run3. The Dukes had themselves a thrilling win.

"We want to make a habit of winning," Vega said after the game.
