Bards Field played host to some dramatic action.

The Belfast Bards racked up a win at Bards Field, bumping off the Galway Harbourmasters, 2-1, in 10 innings. Víctor Hernández, who started for Belfast, pitched effectively for his team. The 5th-place Bards improved to 40-55.

The decisive blow was delivered in the bottom of the tenth when Kevin Chute hit a run-scoring double off 25-year old left-handed pitcher Julio Morales to win the game for Belfast. The home crowd went wild.

"It was a test of wills," said Dáithí King, the Belfast skipper. "I'm glad we came out of it with a win."
