Wet weather did not postpone the Inverness-Dundee ballgame.

The Inverness Thistles soundly defeated the Dundee Websters, 15-4, at Inverness Fields, with first baseman Jeremías Mendoza a major reason why. He went 2 for 3 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for Inverness. Matthew McKenzie was the winner. He's now 13-8. The loser was 26-year old left-handed pitcher Valeriano Pacheco.

With Inverness leading 10-0 in the bottom of the fourth, Mendoza came up to bat against Dundee pitcher Callum Mason. Mendoza hit a splitter to left-center for a 3-run home run. His 5th home run of the season put the Thistles on top, 13-0.

"There's a lot of fight left in this team," said Mendoza.

Dundee, at 42-54, has lost 4 straight.
