The Derby Rams defeated the Birmingham Tradesmen, 5-3, in 12 innings in Baseball Federation of England & Wales action at Tradesmen Grounds. Derby pitcher Adalberto González had a standout performance. The setback makes Birmingham 41-58.

Derby used the timely hitting of Marcos Cruz to capture the win. The second baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the 12th inning to put the Rams on top, 5-3. It was his only hit in 6 at-bats, but he made it count.

"This is not a one-man show," said González. "A lot of the guys stepped up."
