Almost There: Auburn On Cusp of DS Triumph After 5-2 Win
The Auburn Cordwainers got a strong performance from pitcher Eugenio Lugo, who stymied the visiting Nashua Gatekeepers en route to a win, 5-2, in Game 4 of the Division Series. The Gatekeepers could never get a bead on the right-handed Lugo, who threw 8.2 innings allowing 2 runs. The Cordwainers now hold a 3-1 in the best-of-7 series.

Auburn third baseman Diomedes Lucio made an impact. He drilled a run-scoring single in the bottom of the third. In the contest, Lucio was 2 for 4 with 2 singles.

Lucio attributed the triumph to "a good team effort."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Shoebox in Auburn.
