The rain came, as predicted, but the Swansea Copper Lords and Aberystwyth Dragons were able to complete their ballgame.

Swansea Copper Lords starter Filóstrato Hernández found his groove in his team's 5-4 win over the Aberystwyth Dragons. The winning pitcher was Hernández, now 6-8. He tossed 8.1 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 5. Rodulfo Camarena closed the door for Swansea, picking up his 3rd save of the year.

Gaspar Gárnica aided the Swansea cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the fifth. For the game, the center fielder was 1 for 3.

"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Swansea manager William Munro.

Today's win puts Swansea at 49-53, while Aberystwyth falls to 56-46.
