The Cork Salmon had to overcome a big game from Dublin first baseman Marco Michel to leave Dublin Grounds with a victory. And they did, winning, 8-6, in 12 innings. Michel went 4 for 5 with 4 singles and a walk, while scoring 2. Cork reliever René Escamilla picked up the win, upping his record to 4-2. Ryley Daly absorbed the loss. With the win, the Salmon have a record of 47-57.

Cork won the game in part because of Clyde Tilly. The designated hitter ripped a solo home run in the top of the 12th inning to put the Salmon ahead, 6-5. For the game, Tilly had 1 double and 1 home run in 6 at-bats.
