The Derry Maidens topped the Galway Harbourmasters, 4-3, in Baseball Federation of Scotland & Ireland action at Maidens Grounds. The game was highlighted by the performance of Derry pitcher Esteban Quezada. The third-place Maidens are 54-49.

Rodrigo Ayala's at-bat in the bottom of the sixth was significant, coming with a runner on 3rd and the game tied, 3-3. The Derry center fielder hit a run-scoring single off Norberto Hernández to put the Maidens up.

"We put together a nice win," Ayala said.
