Yardmen Even With Hollyhocks After Extra-Innings Win
The Wichita Falls Yardmen and the Santa Fe Hollyhocks will take the Pennant Championship Series to a decisive 7th game. Facing a must-win situation at Santa Fe Stadium, the Yardmen beat the Hollyhocks, 7-6, in extra innings to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Wichita Falls right-hander Farquhar Morris had a standout performance. He came in in relief and pitched to 17 batters.

Wichita Falls used the hitting of Marcell Biavaschi to pick up the win. The designated hitter clubbed a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Yardmen on top, 7-6. For the game, Biavaschi had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"My job is to go out and play as hard as I can for the Yardmen," said Biavaschi.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Santa Fe Stadium in Santa Fe.
