Yardmen Get Hard-Earned Win
The Yardmen grabbed a win, 3-2, at Yardmen Park, overcoming a fine effort from Lubbock pitcher Luis Valentín. Valentín went 11.2 innings and allowed 2 runs. The Yardmen now have a record of 56-65 with the win over Lubbock.

The Yardmen got a clutch hit from catcher Troilo Mena. In the bottom of the 13th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Yardmen.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said Lubbock manager J.R. Moore. "But we decided not to take it."
