Corsarios Even With Cornicos After Home Win
The Campeche Corsarios and the Hidalgo Cornicos will take the Serie Eliminatoria to a decisive 7th game. In a must-win situation, the Corsarios beat the Cornicos, 4-1, at Parque de Campeche to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Campeche left-hander Aquiles Sánchez had a big role in the win. He threw 8.0 innings of 6-hit ball.

In the bottom of the fifth, Campeche catcher Ludovico Rodríguez had a productive at-bat. With a runner on 1st and one out, Rodríguez stroked a run-scoring double to right-center. It made the score 2-1, Campeche. For the game, he was 2 for 4 with a double.

Said Hidalgo manager Rafael Alecio: "You just have to tip your cap sometimes."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Parque de Campeche in Campeche.
