League Championship Series Game 1 Victory for Díaz and Medicine Hat
The Medicine Hat Hellfire started the League Championship Series in style, downing the visiting Calgary Chargers at Hellfire Park by a score of 5-3 to stake an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Hellfire right-hander Miguel Díaz threw 9.0 innings allowing 3 runs.

With no one out in the bottom of the fourth, Pelayo Albarrán barreled up a fastball from Segundo Block. The result was a 2-run home run, putting the Hellfire in front, 4-1.

"I was just taking it batter by batter, just enjoying the moment," said Díaz.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Hellfire Park in Medicine Hat.
