Arcadians Earn 6-1 Win Versus Aberystwyth
The Cardiff Arcadians picked up a win at Dragons Stadium, downing the Aberystwyth Dragons, 6-1. On the mound for Cardiff was right-hander Luis Melchor, who played a pivotal role in the win. Melchor yielded 1 run over 9 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 2, and struck out 2. His record improves to 16-11. Cardiff currently is in 4th place in the Baseball Federation of England & Wales Undeb Pel-fas Cymru at 57-58.

Cardiff used a clutch hit from Martín Martínez to capture the win. The catcher belted a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Arcadians up, 4-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was well-timed.

"Luis's not intimidated by who's stepping into the batter's box," said Cardiff manager Cowal Molony.
