On the strength of a 2-0 win at Caballeros Ballpark, the Merida Caballeros have swept the Maracay Jardineros to win the Serie Eliminatoria.

"We expected to win, but I don't think we anticipated taking the series 3-0," said series MVP Quilvio González. "That's a fantastic team over there, but we wouldn't be denied."

For the series, González had a 0.96 ERA over 9.1 innings pitched, with a 1-0 record.

The Campeonato de las Ligas matchups and schedule will be announced after the Serie Eliminatoria finishes.
