The Cardiff Arcadians gave their fans something to talk about with a thrilling, walk-off win.

The Cardiff Arcadians beat the Bangor Bishops, 4-3, in part because of catcher Martín Martínez. He went 3-4 with 3 singles. He drove in 3 runs. Simon Rodwell earned the win in relief. The left-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 1.1 innings. He upped his record to 1-3.

Cardiff got a knockout punch from Craig Hughes. The pinch hitter hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"I'm as polite as the next guy," said Martínez. "But not when the game's on the line."

The loss makes Bangor 72-46.
