The El Paso Finos topped the San Angelo Killer Cacti, 4-3, in Eastern Association action at San Angelo Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of El Paso pitcher Rio Jenkins. Jenkins got the win, improving to 3-8. He gave up 7 hits and walked 4 over 7.1 innings. He allowed 3 runs. Jean-Yves Ferrand earned the save, his 3rd.

With El Paso leading 3-0 in the top of the fourth, Kazumasa Kawaguchi hit a run-scoring single off San Angelo pitcher Stepán Sindelar. It put the Finos ahead 4-0.

"Sometimes, you can be too aggressive," said San Angelo manager Disibodo Aquino. "You need to let the game come to you."

El Paso, at 53-79, occupies last place in the Eastern Association Odessa Circuit.
